Von Der Pool's food demonstration at the Washburn Culinary Institute of Chicago

I had such a wonderful time teaching the student of the Washburn Culinary Institute in Chicago about the importance of healthy eating. I delved into the the realms of Ayurvedic medicine and how our food should be our medicine so that we can eliminate the pills and most commonly given drugs that we are prescribed by our traditional doctors. I talked about Vegan and Raw Foods and my experience as a Vegan and a Rawfoodist. I gave the students a basic understanding of the Chakra system and how we can eat to nourish the energy centers within our bodies! I explained to them that if they eat fabulous, beautiful food so shall they be fabulous, beautiful and amazing as the foods that they consume! The basis of which I teach is that we are all made up of energy and we can either nourish our body temples with the energy it needs or feed our body foods that have no nutritional value henceforth deminishing the energy we naturally possess! They loved it!










Simple summer starters that are packed with flavor and not the pound! Strawberry Coconut Drops and my famous Zuch canapes, Coconut Pad thai, Pinneapple Ginger Tonic and a sexy Vegan Chocolate ganache made at my Food Demonstration while at the Washburn Culinary Institute of Chicago Illinois.

The students pay close attention as I tell them about my journey and how I was able to become successful as a Chef and cater events such as the Oscars, Grammy's, American Music Awards etc. The students were very intrigued!
